Efficiency in Effectiveness:
Simplified skincare routines prioritise quality over quantity. By focusing on a few key products with proven efficacy, you can ensure that each step in your routine delivers maximum benefits to your skin. Rather than overwhelming your skin with an abundance of products, a streamlined approach allows you to target specific concerns more effectively.
Reduced Risk of Irritation:
Using too many skincare products can overwhelm the skin and increase the risk of irritation and sensitivity. Simplified routines help reduce this risk by minimising the number of potential irritants that come into contact with your skin.
Versatility and Adaptability:
Simplified skincare routines are highly versatile and adaptable, making them suitable for a wide range of skin types and concerns. Whether you have dry, oily, sensitive, or combination skin, a minimalist approach allows you to customise your routine to meet your specific needs.
Embracing the Essentials:
Simplified skincare routines encourage us to focus on the essentials - the core products that form the foundation of a healthy skincare regimen. By prioritising cleansers, moisturisers, and sunscreens, you can build a simple yet effective routine that addresses your skin's basic needs without unnecessary complexity.
In conclusion, we believe in simplified skincare routines because they offer a practical, effective, and sustainable approach to skincare. By streamlining your routine, you can achieve beautiful, healthy skin without the hassle and complexity of traditional multi-step regimens. Whether you're a skincare minimalist or simply looking to simplify your routine, embracing simplicity can lead to happier, healthier skin in the long run.
]]>WINGS has been sailing as a team since 2007 and has won the Women's World Championships twice as well as many other international championships! As experienced sailors, the team knows the importance of keeping their skin protected on the water:
"For me, there's no better sport than sailing. It's a discipline that demands quick decisions, physical strength, knowledge of weather and wind, and above all, excellent teamwork within the crew to make the boat go as fast as possible. Wind, saltwater, sun, and rain - each day on the water is naturally a strain on the skin. The water reflects the sun's rays, and effective sun protection is crucial. After many years with several different brands, we're so pleased to have met Sigrid and Kajsa at Gun Ana. Their products really work, and between each race, we replenish with the UV Stick that's always in our life jacket. Finally having a facial sun protection that doesn't clog the skin is also very comforting. I'll never switch from Gun Ana!" - Anna Östling, Team WINGS
On top of sailing, WINGS has started working with junior athletes to help them boost their careers both as athletes but also stepping into the business world. Their aim is to help young athletes take the relevant steps in order to further their careers.
As a proud partner of WINGS, we're dedicated to providing them with the best protection under the sun. Our SPF products are specially formulated to withstand the rigors of outdoor adventures, offering broad-spectrum protection and nourishing hydration for skin that's as resilient as it is radiant.
]]>Are you planning a winter holiday? We know there are a million things to think about when planning a mountain escape but it’s our job is to remind you of those little things that might not make it to the list - Like bringing SPF.
Here’s why it’s important:
Uv Reflection
In snowy landscapes, UV exposure can be deceptive, as the sun's rays reflect off the snow, intensifying their impact on your skin. Even on overcast days, UV radiation can penetrate through clouds and bounce off the snow, increasing the risk of sunburn and skin damage. The solution? You guessed it, Sunscreen.
Weakened Skin Barrier
Cold weather can weaken the skin barrier by stripping away its natural oils, leading to dryness and increased sensitivity. Exposure to harsh winds and low humidity levels can further exacerbate this effect, causing cracks and irritation. Can it be avoided you wonder? Well, yes - Our Gun Ana sunscreens are developed with natural fats and oils that help strengthen the skin barrier and act as a shield against harsh weather conditions.
Oat Oil: Nature's Wonder
Oat oil is a waste product from the food industry that has numerous benefits to your skincare routine. We're thrilled to dive into the benefits of this natural wonder in our suncare, designed to keep your skin nourished, hydrated, and shielded all winter long.
Oat Oil forms a protective barrier on your skin's surface, locking in moisture and preventing water loss. It provides the natural hydration and nourishment your skin craves during the colder months. It is also rich in vitamin E and linoleic acid which can help maintain the natural balance of the skin.
Oat oil contains ceramides that help protect from environmental stressors, reinforcing your skin's natural barrier and promoting overall skin health. This wonder oil is also non-comedogenic and can help reduce blackheads on the skin. With its natural hydrating properties and protective benefits, it's the perfect addition to your winter skincare routine.

]]>As winter wraps its chilly air around us, there's a skincare secret we're thrilled to share - SPF isn't just for summer! Let's dive into the importance of sun protection during the winter months.
Winter sun can damage your skin
During winter, you might notice that the UV-index is low, but this doesn’t reflect all UV rays. The UV index only shows the UVB levels and leaving out UVA.
UVA rays are low energy rays that can harm the skin deep down. During winter, UVA stays on the same level as during summer, meaning it’s just as harmful to the skin.
Snow-covered landscapes, crisp days, and the sun's reflection can also create an environment where UV rays thrive. This makes daily SPF application a must, even on the coldest of days.
Winter Skincare Challenges
Winter brings its own set of challenges. The cold air, coupled with indoor heating, can lead to dryness and a compromised skin barrier. Our suncare products are developed to act as a protective shield, preventing moisture loss and ensuring your skin stays hydrated, nourished and resilient throughout the season.
]]>As the leaves change and the days get cooler, don't forget that the sun is still present. UVA rays are present year-round, penetrating clouds and windows to reach your skin's deeper layers. They're the sneaky culprits behind wrinkles, sun allergies, pigment changes, and even skin cancer.
While UVB rays slow down in their intensity during fall, they're not taking a vacation. These high-energy rays can penetrate your skin's top layer (epidermis), leading to darker pigmentation and the risk of sunburn, allergies, and even cancer.
But here's the good news: our Gun Ana products are here to shield you all year round.
Sources of HEV Light:
HEV light is emitted by the sun as well as artificial sources such as electronic devices like smartphones, tablets, computers, and LED lights. Unlike ultraviolet (UV) rays, HEV light has a shorter wavelength and higher energy level, making it capable of penetrating deeper into the skin.
How HEV Light Can Harm the Skin:
Protecting Your Skin from HEV Light:
HEV light, or blue light, is omnipresent in our daily lives, and its potential to harm the skin is a growing concern. Understanding the sources and consequences of HEV light exposure is essential to protect our skin from potential damage. By adopting simple preventive measures like wearing sunscreen, incorporating antioxidants into skincare routines, and taking breaks from screens, we can minimise the impact of HEV light and promote healthier skin in the digital era.
Our Face Cream protects from UVA, UVB and of course, HEV-light. It's also rich in antioxidants such as Vitamin A, C & E which help protect from HEV-light and free radical damage.

]]>Gun Ana is founded by two suncare enthusiasts, Kajsa Regnér and Sigrid Osvald.
"We are both from the west coast, went to the same high school and became friends while doing a skiing season in the french alps over 10 years ago! We both love the outdoors, being by the ocean in the summer and in the mountains in the winter and we know the importance of suncare when it comes to keeping your skin healthy".
Sigrid studied fashion business and marketing in London and then launched a career in the fashion industry in London for a few years before moving to Paris. She has worked for a handful of brands, always focusing on product development and assortment.
“After 10 years in the fashion industry, I left to start working with another passion of mine - skincare. I felt the need to slow down and work with a product over time rather than for just a season. I wanted to dedicate my life to building a sustainable brand that would benefit both people and the planet.”
Kajsa spent a couple of seasons in the alps, competing in freeride skiing before she moved to Stockholm to study E-commerce, marketing and communication. She's been working with e-commerce and marketing for brands within the outdoor, fashion and interior industries.
”We have always had a strong passion for traveling, sports and spending time outdoors whether it’s in a city, the french alps or the english countryside. We know the importance of using sunscreen to protect from the sun but felt we were missing a more premium and multifunctional product in the market and the idea for Gun Ana was born.”
We know that most people are aware of the importance of using SPF products in the summer, when the sun is strong and you can easily burn. But most people are unaware of the way the sun can affect your skin also during the other seasons. Let us break it down for you.
All SPF products in the EU are built with both UVA and UVB protection. These UV rays come from the sun and can damage our skin in different ways.
95% of the radiation that comes from the sun is UVA. UVA is low energy rays and we are exposed to these rays all year round during daylight. UVA can penetrate clouds and they can pass through windows. UVA penetrates the deeper layer of your skin called dermis, where they produce free radicals that can damage your skin. UVA rays are the main cause of wrinkles and they can also cause sun allergy, pigment changes and cancer.
The other 5% are UVB rays. These rays are high in energy and they are slowed down by clouds and windows. These rays can penetrate epidermis, the top layer of the skin, and they can turn your skin darker by damaging the DNA in your skin cells. The DNA starts producing a darker pigment for protection. UVB rays can cause sun burn, allergic reactions and cancer.
The benefits of using SPF all year round:
• It's the most effective way to prevent your skin from aging.
• Reduce the risk of skin cancer
• Reduce the risk of pigment changes in your skin
While using Gun Ana products we want you to embrace life under the sun, all year round.
